I bought the last ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 laptop in my area. Now that I have it, it's easy to see why. As a programmer, I find gaming lapThey tops have so much more to offer than traditional laptops for business, especially regarding speed and connectivity.
The machine configuration includes an i9-12900H (14 cores), 1TB SSD, 16 GB of Ram, 8 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GDDR6 graphics card, FHD IPS type display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300Hz refresh rate, and 3ms response time, and Windows 11.
There's no shortage of USB ports: 1 Thunderbolt 4 support Display Port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support Display Port/power delivery / G-SYNC: 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A.
The machine also has 1 HDMI 2.1 port, a 2.5G LAN port, a 3.5 mm Combo Audio Jack, and networking support by a 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps Ethernet Port, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), and integrated Bluetooth 5.2 (Dual Band).
To keep the machine cool, I highly recommend getting a laptop cooler. I purchased the Modal Claymore X2069 Laptop Cooler with four built-in high-performance Hydro bearing fans powered by a pass-through USB connector (included).
I connected three monitors, my MX Mechanical keyboard, MX Master 3 mouse, and two printers to complete the hardware setup.
The laptop has a great "look and feel" that will make all this power that much more enjoyable to use. Now it's time to do some programming and watch the applications scream.
